Oni Masho (Ogre Demon-General) Shutendoji--Usually called "Shuten," he is nominal leader of the Demon-Generals, though the others dispute his claim to be the strongest of their number. One of the most complicated characters in the show, he rapidly becomes more than a generic bad-nasty. Initially the Troopers' worst foe, he soon is questioning his orders. Then Kaos convinces him to change sides. His armor is mostly grey and blue topped by a brown jimborai cloak; his weapon is a kusari-gama [chain-and-sickle]. Born in Kyoto in 1551, his family were lower-class nobles. His virtue is Chu, "Loyalty," and his yoroi is called the "Devil's Armor."

Anubis, Dark Warlord of Cruelty--"What fools are they to stand and fight against the Dark Warlord of Cruelty!" Such is the arrogant ranting of Anubis whenever he faces the Ronin Warriors. His evil pride blinds him; he believes the Ronin Warriors are a minor problem which he could handle as a lone warrior. Anubis thinks himself the greatest of the Dynasty Warlords. With malevolent force and blinding fury he hurls his chain and sickle at his young armored opponents. Siphoning the powers of other, Anubis steals their strength and rapidly replenishes the forces of evil stored in his own armor. The other Dynasty Warlords relish Anubis' failures because he blatantly parades his pride, jealousies and inflated sense of self-worth. But it is the same selfish fanaticism that makes Anubis such a dangerous dark force! For his special blow, Anubis jumps high into the air and throws his weighted chain to the ground with the horrible scream, "Quake With Fear!"
